Land Clearing and Grubbing
Land Clearing and Grubbing in Waco
An overgrown or wooded parcel has to be opened before any excavation or building can begin, and Artintheamericas handles that first pass. We remove trees, brush, and undergrowth, then grub out the stumps and root balls below grade so nothing is left to rot, settle, or heave under a future pad. Cleared material is hauled off or mulched on-site, depending on what makes sense for your lot.
Why Grubbing Matters
Cutting a tree at the surface is not clearing. Leave the stump and roots and they decay over the next few years, creating voids that swallow fill and drop the grade under a slab or driveway. Grubbing pulls that organic material out below grade so the subgrade is clean, mineral soil that compacts to spec. On a rural parcel near China Spring or West, that difference decides whether a pad stays level a decade later.
Our Process
We call 811 before any ground disturbance, then clear in a planned sequence so we protect the trees you want to keep and control erosion on the rest. Stumps and roots come out with the excavator, the debris is chipped or hauled, and we rough grade the opened ground so it drains while it waits for the next phase. Silt fence stays up to keep sediment on your property.
